of all my years in nascar and local short track racing i have never seen one this bad my prayers and thought go out to dan welden and his family just a terrible crash. It’s seriously a miracle you don’t see more crashes like this in that series.
Prayers for Dan Wheldon…wow what can you say these cars are unsafe for the speeds they travel there needs to be some serious changes. I really hope he’s ok it didn’t look good.

I took my wife to the race. We flew down from Seattle , her first ever race. It was a Very very sad outcome. He will be sadly missed. In the harts of many ” Dan, you are the Indy Champion, man”. Race on! :~(
